Artists Statement

I live and travel with circuses where I draw what I see. Later, I use the drawings as reference to create paintings. In my work, surfaces are layered and the color is expressive. But, underneath, I am searching...I want to know where is the edge between myth and reality; between memory and action. People have called my work playful, but I think of it as mysterious, sometimes frightening, almost chaotic. The paintings are a road map, a point of discovery, a link to myth, music and the memories of childhood.
