Artists Statement

Master jeweler Peter Indorf has turned his unique creative eye to photography… and the result is this new collection of Yale photography.

Indorf, also an artist and musician, is best known as a premier designer of fine jewelry, with stores in New Haven and Madison. He is a resident of New Haven.

Much as he does in creating his fine jewelry, Indorf the photographer captures the pure essence of his subjects, reduces them to their most powerful and simple forms. By blending and contrasting intense color with strong light and shadow, Indorf gives life to his images and shares their emotional impact with the viewer.
