Artists Statement

Susan Farricielli’s furniture reflects her years of training as a sculptor. She specializes in product design and product development. With extensive experience in manufacturing, computer-aided design, sales and marketing, Ms. Farricielli brings a unique blend of sculpture and engineering to her clientele. She believes the objective of product design is that the form should follow the function. A product should meet the ergonomic needs of the user, and be cost effective to manufacture. In 1995, Ms. Farricielli received an award from the National Endowment of Arts (NEA) for the prototype of a wheelchair design for the elderly. Often her designs solicit a sculptural solution which take the form of one-of-a-kind or limited edition three-dimensional sculptures and prototypes in metal, wood and various other materials.

Ms. Farricielli will collaborate with architects and interior designers to arrive at unique solutions for particular spaces.
