Renowned Italian Artist Exclusively at White Space Gallery

New Haven , CT – The newest body of work, “Fire’s Colors” by Italian artist Eduardo Giannattasio, will be featured at White Space Gallery from March 5 through March 31. “Meet the Artist” Reception is Saturday, March 10 from 3 to 5p.m. Giannattasio is one of the most highly regarded figurative abstract artists in Europe . White Space Gallery exclusively carries Giannattasio’s work in the United States .

Eduardo Giannattasio lives and works in a thirteenth century palazzo in Italy , and his paintings have been shown throughout Europe . The paintings in this show are the result of a technique the artist perfected in his studio that celebrates and honors a source of light and warmth used for ages…fire. The process starts by splashing pigmented stains diluted with alcohol onto his canvas where the stains drip and blend. He the n sets the fireproofed canvas on fire. The flames evaporate revealing a figurative abstractionism. The figures that emerge form the artist’s subconscious are created by the magical and mystical qualities of the fire.

During Giannattasio's early period, he was devoted to figures, which require a considerable technical ability to create. Today, the figures that emerge from his subconscious are brought forth by the magical and mystical qualities of the fire.
